Glad I found this thread as I am currently looking at options for my work station. Currently working on 2 tables in living room, my grand plan is to get of my lazy butt and sort out my spare bedroom which will be dedicated to my models (ah being single does have an advantage). Seen some great ideas which I will definitely be stealing will post some pics when done - so that will be next year sometime :)

The advantage of being single is one can spread out the work wherever one wants:

And I haven't uploaded the side-on view of the living-room (but that's just stuff laying around, not actually work-space!)!

At least I'm finally making progress in model-work again; getting a few bits actually done on my submarine miniature, some air-brushing started (use that in the bath-room as it is un-carpeted and has the only outgoing ventilation fan).

The photos are a couple weeks old now I think; the living room constantly looks just a little different each week! My spare-room is re-organized since moving back in, and it has the band-saw, drill-press, storage cupboards, table-mounted sewing-machine, old computer setup, storage closet, storage-rack ... not too much floor space left there for other work such as directly on the models!

Hope you like it!

Regards, John

My Workbench (The Floor)

Being in a very small apaertment (flat) My bench is a board on the floor, with the paints & boxes set out around it!

It takes about 15-20 minutes to get everything out of the storage cupboard and set up, then the same when I have finished.

My better half knows not to move when it is all set out!
