I bought some quad copters the other day to sell, but I fancied one myself, anyway within 5 mins I had smashed it, I've broke some glass in it and I was going to cut out a bit of clear plastic using a compass cutter but by the time I've finished the circle it's not round, any ideas what would be the best thing to use?

How about making a template from masking tape. Do a rough cut then file down the rest doing a few test fits when you get close to finishing.

Just an idea

Thanks David, I used some thinner clear plastic and the compass cutter, managed to get it to fit but it must confuse the sensors, crash landed again :(

Thanks John, it's a little too big, I've rang their tech support and they are trying to find me the part, it still works without it, I think it's more for keeping dust and dirt out

How about a clear tiddleywink?

Admittedly we don't know the diameter but I'm trying to think of things that might work :P

there is a circle cutting compass  ,instead of a pencil it has a blade, :)

That's what I was using.

That is a great idea, but I haven't seen one since I was a kid.

'I think there must be something special with the glass, the plastic didn't work.
