my wife knows a nurse on the local hospital childrens ward says the little boy is due for another op today i think...

the pilot is critical, but seems to be showing positive signs... all the survivors have been interviewed by air crash investigators and the scene which is also very very close to the london to birmingham rail line is totally sealed off whilst investigations take place....

lets hope everyone makes a speedy recovery

and even sadder to think all this happened with a quater of a mile of the martin baker factory......

could have been so much worse as this area is fairly densely populated with both industrial and residential zones and adding to that 3 main road intersections the M40, the M25 and the A412 dual carraigeway all within a half mile

Very lucky to get out alive from a crash into woods.

sounds like the pilot decided the woods may cushion the impact, the alternative was the airfield from where they had just left, major roads or residential and business areas, just missed the golf course fairway and managed to hit the 'rough'... in this case the woods

i remember some 15 or so years ago a vintage aircraft, ( maybe a blenheim - i forget now ) also overshot the runway at denham and nose dived into the 16th hole......... do you shout 'fore' when that happens ????

Denham has been the scene of a few aircraft accidents,it appears to be quite a small airfield surrounded by woodland, the Cessna 310 is a fast aircraft with quite a high landing speed.

It has been a bad month for light aircraft crashes.

i have flown in and out of deham several times but only in a helicopter ( a sea king- well the sikorsky equiv) it is a pretty wooded area......
