Anyone know who i contact to get instructions for ICM kits? My P-51D appears not to have any in the box :(

i just did their I-16 and if your instructions are anything like mine you wont miss them LOL

Hi Allyne. Have you tried the makers Contacts » ICM Holding - Plastic model Kits

I tried for about 20 minutes to find instructions online for you but to no avail for the ICM P-51D. WHat I did discover is that the reviews for that kit all state the ICM is a rip off from the Tamiya kit. SO, you probably stand a better chance of finding Tamiya instructions online than ICM ones.

I've just had a few minutes poking around as well, like Joe, the only thing i found from a few sites was that the kit seems to be a tamiya clone, not sure if the instructions would be interchangeable though. (there's a few piccies of these if you use "images" section in google).

Sorry i can't be more help.

On the upside i now know that a "fillet" is not just a cut of meat :) :)

No indeed, it can reduce drag and increase lateral stability! Can't do that with a good steak :)

I suppose i should expanded on the fillet gag, in the search i came across a few sites where there were, shall we say, "disagreements" on whether certain P51 models had fillets or not, modelers are cutting tails off one model and grafting them onto another to get it "right" then another modeler comes across with a picture that shows they didn't need to make the adjustment after all ... found it amusing to say the least .. hence the gag.

I've sat through a few hours of an instructor emphasizing the effects and importance of landing gear fillets on certain models of rotory wing..... never got that far when i had my two flying lessons in a fixed wing .... i must be wired up wrong coz i cant control a plane but i can do three times as many things in the cockpit and keep a chopper the right way up :) :)

And P-47s Colin, not least because they could be retro fitted.

I'm not on my own computer at the moment but I've got several photos of 56th FG P-47s where the retro fitted fillet has been attached over the top of the aft most code letter!

Cheers

Steve
