I've started my dio for a D-Day project and everything is going well but I was wondering if there is a 1:48th RAF truck or similar that I can use to portray crates been unloaded at the airfield?

I'm looking at a product sheet that came with one of my jets and the only one I see that might fit is

1/48 scale Tamiya 2.5 ton 6x6 cargo truck (american), kit #32548...

Oh that looks close, I guess they used American or British trucks to haul supplies, it's just the amount of crates I've made as a loading point would overwhelm my little Tilly, lol

Could this be any good for adapting? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Corgi-Classics-C945-5-AEC-508-Forward-control-5-Ton-MIB-/170894786682?pt=UK_ToysGames_DiecastVehicles_DiecastVehicles_JN&hash=item27ca1f807a maybe strip down, repaint etc-just thinking of money.

Oh boy £45!!!! Your right it's not cheap, but it would look spot on.

The Corgi ones a thought as well, its just a case of how easy it is to strip down.

I'm leaning towards that American truck as I'll have a C-47 parked up along side all the vehicles and it may tie it all in.
