this is the first proper build I think is acceptable to show , I've painted it in a tri colour camo and presented it as it was painted in the field as many of these were in mid 43 as it was just not feasible to recall all vehicles from the front lines to repaint them , I left the interior in the original colour to denote this

I've given it a worn look as these cars were used in many roles from reconnaissence to staff car so they got a bit banged up

This kit is a great little kit very easy to build and although it lacked the detail of the tamiya version it still builds into a nice model and at £10 you can't sniff at that

Here's the pics and comments welcome

I don't know if you saw Alan the programme on Sky ( weapon hunter ) and the guy goes round each week looking for rare Weapons ( anyway he was looking for one and he came across a collector of German stuff( re-enactment and he had this Kubelwagon...... Said it was used in all theatres and was a true workhorse.. Not as powerful as the Willys jeep but due to it being Air cooled and not radiator like the Willys there was less to go wrong with it if shot at.

Think you can get it on Demand on Sky ( very interesting

The model by the way is top notch and I really like the camo you have portrayed)

I will one day be a stood as you.................. not

Cheers rob I appreciate that

I missed it I'm afraid I don't watch a lot of tv so it's passed me by , I did see something similar last year about a bloke who had a swimmwagon in his shed all original but in bits , he wanted to buy it from him but he wouldn't sell it

You've definitely got it with the camo.

Great work all round.
