This one when finished will sat on a carrier deck with a spinning prop.

So far the office is finished and the color has been acheived by mixing yellow and green and a bit of experimenting.

Too bad about the spinning prop effect. Nothing's worse than buying an upgrade (to anything) only to find out it didn't work. Hopefully you'll be able to find a use for it on another kit, so it's not wasted.

The F4U had the largest propeller ever fitted to a piston engined aeroplane when it was introduced. Hence the cranked wings, in order to provide enough clearance for the propeller. I suppose the generic propeller disc you bought is more suited to a 'normal' sized propeller like on a Spitfire, 109 or such like. Nice progress Peter, it's looking smart in that dark lue scheme, and nice weathering (fading) job on the wings.
