nice start Peter,looks good so far with the cockpit,think thats close to it, why did they ever use such a yuk green/yellow,

look forward to next update,
 
I'm looking forward to seeing this one Peter, nice subject with the F4U and the carrier deck.

Too bad about the spinning prop effect. Nothing's worse than buying an upgrade (to anything) only to find out it didn't work. Hopefully you'll be able to find a use for it on another kit, so it's not wasted.
 
The F4U had the largest propeller ever fitted to a piston engined aeroplane when it was introduced. Hence the cranked wings, in order to provide enough clearance for the propeller. I suppose the generic propeller disc you bought is more suited to a 'normal' sized propeller like on a Spitfire, 109 or such like. Nice progress Peter, it's looking smart in that dark lue scheme, and nice weathering (fading) job on the wings.
