Not made one myself but looking on the internet read that they are compatable to the early Airfix models. Need some work but look ok when complete hope this helps. Which one have you got/looking at ?

They are typically very rough and basic but can be built into decent kits with patience and fettling and cleaning and gap filling and scribing and patience, (did I mention patience?)

The basic nature of the kit is reflected in the prices of them.

Heres a link to a KITECH Blue Thunder kit I built, I have an Airwolf to build too by them, (they were the only redily available manufacturer offering these two vehicles when I bought them)

i bought one of e-bay and threw it straight in the bin after opening the box.cost me a couple of quid and one side of the fuselage was about four millimeteres smaller than the other and nothing even looked like it was gonna fit together after trying to dry fit the pieces.

Hi Mobear.

I'm certainly no expert, but many of the cheaper kits available suffer from a whole range of problems - some minor and easily sorted, and some which require lots and lots of modelling skills to fix. There's loads of guys on this forum who can make silk purses out of just about any sow's ear they pick up, but, as a beginner, I'd suggest sticking to some of the better brands 'til you've had chance to practise your skills.

There's nothing more disappointing than finding your intended masterpiece turns out like the aforementioned sow's ear. Ask me how I know! :lol
