discussion Late war Bf109 colour footage

A friend sent me this link.

I've seen stills from this film but never this whole segment. The first aircraft is a Bf109G-10 "Weiss 3" and the second a Bf109K-4 "Weiss 8". I can't identify the members of the ox team!

These are probably aircraft of JG 52 (II Gruppe?) which belly landed the pilots giving themselves up to U.S forces.

As always Steve you come up with some amazing references and this one is a cracker. This is a great resource for detailing the cockpit and seeing the fuselage camoflage. The thing that struck me most was seeing an amazing flying machine deliberately damaged in this way. Imagine if you were a fighter pilot and flying was your life then to do this to a plane must have been heartbreaking.
