Hello all,

I've recently been given an old kit from Life-Like (1960's-70's era). I was told it's a far cry from the Tamiya 1/350th kit. Does anyone have any experience with the kit? Maybe someone can tell me if it's a good one (I'm hoping...)

Also, I am just getting back into modeling and want to paint the ship in its elaborate camo scheme from 1944. Is there a discussion or link that might help me figure out how to mask the ship?

Has anyone used hobby mask? Or should I just cut the pattern out of regular masking tape?

Any thoughts on my newbie questions will be MUCH appreciated!
