Does anybody know if the Winstanley Eddystone Lighthouse has ever been produced as a scale model kit, or if any diagrams, plans, etc, are available anywhere that would be helpful in building a model from scratch?

Thank you for any input or pointers to info sources.

Hi Cray, Can't help regarding a model, but the attached illustration may be of help. It is from a book, see attachment No: -2; this book is really about the Scottish Lighthouse keeper family dynasty (Robert Louis Stevenson was one of them), so doesn't give any more details of the Eddystone. Would have thought there would be something on the Internet if you googled it. A wild card might be if you contact the Greenwich Maritime Museum in London. Good luck with your search, if I come across something else I will get in touch. Cheers Derek

Lighthouses

Have you contacted Trinity House?

They are the people responsible for lighthouses and lightships and will be able to answer your questions.

Hi again Cray, came across this website which might be useful, had not realised that Winstanley had built two Lighthouses at Eddystode. Cheers Derek
