Someone post this in facebook page, thought would be great info for us all. It's quite detail and informative.

Interesting site, worth bookmarking. But it doesn't distinguish between the various Bf109 manufacturer camouflage schemes, nor doe sit cover any other type of aeroplane.

Good points, but it's not a bad introduction to a very complicated subject. There are one or two things I wouldn't agree with as well, but, again, that's hardly surprising given the topic. Volumes of books have been and continue to be written on the subject of Luftwaffe camouflage and markings so, at best, a page like this (which I didn't see credit sources anywhere when I scanned through it) is still a useful guide to someone attempting to make sense of the subject.

When I built Theo Nibel's FW 190 D I drew principally on two highly reputable sources for the colour scheme, Jerry Crandall's volumes and the JaPo series on the type. Nevertheless, the two gave widely differing profiles for this much photographed aeroplane. This gives an idea of the mine field in which we tread when tackling this subject :)

Jerry Crandall's stuff is awesome. Great reference. I also use the Kagero publications. They are well researched as well (and come with free decals!)
