Finished this one recently.
I hadn't realised this was a snap-fit kit when I bought it but it builds into a nice replica of this distinctive carrier. Built out of the box except for the aircraft decals which came from a GMM set as the kit's stickers were a bit toy-like.

Very nice David.

Excellent paintwork. The sea is spot on, she's creaming through it just perfectly.

Compared to other US aircraft carriers of the period, I've always thought the 'Lady Lex' to look cob with her huge funnel structure. No wonder she was crippled in a Kamikaze attack in '42. That pile of steel must has been seen from miles away!
