So for my birthday, my son and his wife bought me this. I’ve been working two days and this is all I have done.

Well that should keep you busy for a while. In 1:35 scale, you are going to need some shelf space for it. Cracking looking kit.

That should keep you busy for a while. Two foot plus in length when built - gonna need a big shelf 😁

Usually, I do 1/25 or 1/24 scale, cars or trucks, but my son noticed that I was building them pretty fast so he thought he would give me a challenge. Plus, I’m a former marine that served in operation desert storm so I have experience with these vehicles that I’m building now.
This thing even came with a lot of PE parts, something else I’m fairly new at and haven’t quite figured out how to attach them firmly..

WOW! Now that is an impressive kit! This will be fun to watch come together.

I have no experience with PE parts and this kit has a lot of them. I’m learning as I go..

Hi, if I can offer a bit of advice with the PE. Clean thoroughly to remove any oils use hot soapy water and let dry. When you have removed the part gently score the mating face with the tip of a sharp blade and the point on the vehicle where it will go. Then use a good CA glue. Don't be tempted to use all the PE just because it's there. Quite often its no better then the kit part and its very two dimensional so for example to make handles use wire instead. HTH

Thanks, brother advice. I have already learned that I’m not going to use all of these PE parts. Some of them are more for looks than anything else and I’m building a military style vehicle that will be painted desert sand color all over.
