Well, well, well, I've just cracked open a Trumpeter 1/32 Me262 kit for my "aircraft just about to land" project. A quick rummage revealed all the normal "Trumpeter pretending to be Tamiya" packing, including the box of vinyl, clear, metal and photoetch bits. There is however one glaring omission! There's no painting and decal guide. Luckily I'm not building one of the kit schemes and I either know,or have the relevant references to look up,how to do the scheme and place the decals. Many, less familiar with Luftwaffe subjects, may not.

It's the first time I've ever had any problem at all with a Trumpeter kit,it's no big deal, but I wondered if anyone else had had a similar experience. Hopefully not and this is just an unfortunate one off. Noone's perfect after all.

I won't do a build thingy as this is essentially the same kit as the nightfighter I did last year with one less seat. Also it's a bit open ended due to potential work and other commitments. We might not see it for a while :)

Cheers

Phew that threw me into a panic Steve. Just started my Wellington Trumpeter (6 weeks late due to work commitments & at my age tut).

Rushed down to my designated modelling station & relief there was a very nice glossy colour picture of all aspects of the Wellington externally. All detailed with decals & paint colours. Very impressive. So I am all right Jack.

Very impressed with Trumpeter so far although not far into the model yet. But internal colouring a bit of a mystery. Some indication but the references are prefixed with H. Then a box with one reference number then another back box with another assumed reference number. Any body any ideas what that is all about. ? Or am I just senile !!!!

You have the relevant references for a Luftwaffe subject Steve?

I find that hard to believe! :music_whistling: :smile1:

Hi Laurie,a nice colour sheet is exactly what they've left out !

The number in the white box is a reference for "aqueous hobby color" and the one in the black box is for "Mr Color". You can always convert these to something more familiar.

Hi m1ks,you're not wrong! I've got at least half a dozen books on the Me262,not counting the one's about units that flew it :)

Cheers
