Hello from a very cold Ipswich Suffolk.

I have been following a link produced by Barry where he informed me how to paint and weather a WW2 hurricane/spitfire. He mentioned using Vallejo primer (which I have) all my other paints are Humbrol acrylics, now comes the question:

Can I use these paints with the Vallejo primer as I don't really want to chuck these paints out as I have spent nearly £100 on Humbrol. :( :( :(

Any advice will be welcomed....

Short answer is yes. Of course you should make sure the primer is properly dry before you apply anything over it.

Cheers

What the guys said already!

Any primer that's fully cured can have any paint applied over it. I've even sprayed paint thinned with cellulose thinners onto an acrylic primer without a problem, so acrylic over acrylic is doubly safe.

If you were to mix tamiya with humbrol or tamiya with revell to make a new paint colour it can become quite thick, so thinners may need to be used before applying. But with primer being used any type of paint should be fine on top of it :D :)
