just wondering if anyone wanted to list what they plan to get and make next year. or maybe there is something special in your stash you wanted to get started on.

for me i have a few 1/48 hasegawa F-16s with special decals to do. but once you have made a few the build process can be done in a week easily.

one i am getting for christmas which will be my first build of the new year will be accademys 1/48 CH-53 Super Stallion with eduards "big ed" set. the kit alone costs near enough £50 but it is a bloody impressive kit.

aslo in the line up is a 1/32 hasegawa P-51, a 1/48 F4-U4 and a accademy 1/48 SU-27.

but mainly next year i am going to be concentrating on helicopters. I am not a very big helicopter fan but i must say they are very enjoyable builds.

My dads friend is paying for me to make him 3 choppers which will take a couple of months each including all p/e work he wants as well. they are all 1/35 made by Academy and are the

Black Hawk (UH-60L)

http://www.netmerchants.co.uk/product.php/1131/0/uh60lblackhawk

the DAP Black Hawk (AH-60L)

http://www.netmerchants.co.uk/product.php/1138/0/ah60ldapblackhawk

and the Pave hawk (MH-60G

http://www.netmerchants.co.uk/product.php/1137/0/mh60gpavehawk

i will do a build thread on one of those but it will be pointless doing one on all 3 as they are mostly the same. i will however show the detailed differences when the time comes.

so guys...what do you have planned?

Well plans are one thing....reality is another :)

But next year I have plans to do some aircraft.

One Me 109 G2,one Spitfire Vb,and maybe the Me 109 T1 and if There still is time left,I will start the Ju52.....

For vehicles I want to do another 1:16 model.

It might be the PzKpfw III ausf.G or the Leopard2

For 1:25 scale vehicles I just have a pile to choose from,so I'm not sure yet :)

So many kits, so little time. On the bench at the moment Special Hobby's 1/48 FN305 Italian trainer (my first kit with resin and PE parts).

Then (in no particular order):

- Tamiya 1/48 P51 B Mustang with Eduard Zoom cockpit set (does any find some of the PE too flat to be realistic?)

-Eduard 1/48 P39Q Airacobra Profopak - what a marvelous looking kit!!

-Classic Airframes 1/48 Fairey Battle T - looks like it'll be a challenge.

-Revell 1/48 Sopwith Camel

-Heller 1/72 Renault Caudron 714

-Revell 1/72 Ju-88

-Monogram 1/48 FW190 - an ancient kit

Well my plan is to start doing the models that i have hear with me.

That is 1/48 B-17 G

1/72 C5 Galaxy Vacform

1/24 Nissan 200sx S14A Twin turbo (Dad's Car)

1/48 BAC TSR2 Vacform

Considering that's all ive got with me i will still have fun building them.

Mine is simple enough, just get a bit further with the coaster. I recon there is at least another two years in it yet, maybe more.

Revell He 177 in captured French markings

Eduard FW 190 A-8....have written at the top of the Missus 'must get' list for Xmas.

That'll do for starters...still got the BV 222 on the bench and a mass of things to repair as result of having combined my office and modeling rooms in order to free up space elsewhere in the house. The Carpet Monster has devoured a number of gunbarrels, aerials and assorted pitot tubes and wheels...so a bit of scratch building is in order.

Growing stash

Is it just me, or is there some quiet addiction that infects modellers? I simply cannot resist looking on e-bay for any bargains that might crop up and in this way since my last post on this thread, I have now acquired:

Tamiya 1/48 Beaufighter (NF)

Revell 1/48 B-24 Liberator (what a monster!)

Lindberg 1/48 Gloster Gladiator (an oldie but a goodie, apparently)

Although my stash is tiny compared to others, it'll still take me at least 2 years to get through it. Why do we keep buying? If my wife knew, she'd kill me.:busted_re

Models next year - Hmm

Plans to get a proper CNC mill to go with my cnc modelling machine and then trying my hand at a little 16mm Quarry Hunslet.

Should be fun drawing all the parts out in cad from some drawings and plans I've aquired.

That's an impressive line up Grandad but good to see you are making the most of your retirement. You have some lucky grandchildren who have someone to make them things like that.

For a future build I would like to have a go at a glider as I have'nt built a flying aircraft for more than 35 years or so and that was a control line combat flying wing but as I want to do a wartime glider I do not know where to try and get plans from so it will be on the gonna do list a long time

i'm like bunk i just want some time and hopefully some space so i can complete my half built models....

i have 1:24 scale R/C clyde puffer on the go

i also have a marten howes and baylis topaz half done- no engine yet !

i also have another R/C windermere steam launch half done ( with dummy engine and electric drive)

and i am refitting a bibber R/C submarine ( at least 8 months work to do on it )

and finally i have my half built R/C 1 :12th scale - 33 foot Lochin Marine police boat

so for me the 'gift' would be the ability to complete one of those jobs for 2008 !
