Here are some pictures from Norwich which I snapped between the showers! The targets all docked when sky open up but the subs ploughed on....

I counted 25 subs at one point, but few had left by the time I got my camera out

There are some lovely looking boats there Mankster, both subs and targets. Is that a Model Slipway's Envoy class on the wall?

I am also impressed with the harbour arrangement which all goes to help the realism of the event and give the targets somewhere to hide!!

Thanks for the pictures, great job.

That facility is also superb with the high wall to make launching so much easier than bending down to the water with heavy boats.

Brilliant Ramesh! Wish I could have been there - but still recuperating. Norwich is a brilliant pond for sailing with its raised walls. I went down 2 years ago (about 700 miles round trip!) and I must say I was inspired by the subs I saw. Up to that time I hadn't actually seen any submerging and I sat in awe for hours. Bored everyone at our Club to tears on my return! Now I've got 8 of them. One day I hope to finish one to somewhere near the standards I saw down there.

Well done Mankster! Excellent array of pics there. I'd have orbed over for the event if I'd taken more notice of how to instead of perving at the cute witches!

great pictures, i spotted the pair of 'red subs' - they look abit like the old HFM deep dive models....?

were there any other non military type subs there ?

i remember reading about a show in belgium in one of the mags recently where there were over 100 ROV's and submersibles at an exhibition..... fancy going next time its on !

No they weren't Deep Dives. I am not sure what they were, smaller and had a kort nozzle at the rear. Dynamic divers, but never made it into the water (not while I was looking anyway). Anyway you can still buy the HFM kit, they perfom very well and can be easily converted to a pump system to make them static divers. They must be the chapest way to get into the hobby though

No there weren't any other non-naval subs (I will have one there next year hopefully).

yup we have these in our club.... not seen one for a while- remember they are fairly simple but seem to be pretty reliable for a dynamic diver.....

i would love to see more non military subs arount, i keep thinking about building a nautile or a pisces sub.....

one day i will !
