I got the idear from this it uses a p.c mouse and a C.D.
The software continuously plots rpm, torque and power and exports curves to excel:clap:
Sci-Spot.com - Dynamometer
I already built a running in rig for new motors or brushes on 130 size motors.
(The motor mounts are from an Xmod and the gears are from a kyosho mini z)
I could test motors measuring the output of the slave on below rig and got some pretty consistant results.
It was then converted (in a rush) to a prototype dyno using a P.C mouse. I only want to compare the motors against each other so the power readings are not true. The software was just adjusted to the motors manufactures specs.
Results:
I tested te same motor over and over and got very consistant results so I am happy it is working ok.
I rebuilt a motor and tested it before and after
All five motors below are the same model
