discussion Moving to New Zealand

Members: I'm new to this forum and this is my first post. I'm an American and have been living in the UK for 3 years doing some specialized training for the police. It looks like I'll be moving to New Zealand in a few months, for a similar purpose. One of my favorite hobbies, of course, is model boats and I've been building them since I was a young sprout! My website, bcrane.com, has some links to what I've been doing in restoring and repairing models.

I'm sure there's an active modelling scene in NZ. Does anyone know of a particular club or group down there? I'll be in Wellington.

Hi Bill and a warm welcome to the Scale Models forum. If you have a look at the Modelboatmayhem site and forum you will find a few contributors there who hail from New Zealand. Have a look around and maybe ask the same question there as well.
