I find this product excellent specially for filling those awkward places that are difficult to sand.

My pot though is getting a little thick and needs thinning. Does anyone know what thinner to use?

Interested in this stuff Barry & looked up about it then bought a pot.

Seems that it is best to use Mr Thinner which is a Lacquer. But advice I have read said not to use ordinary lacquer. Problem there is that Mr Thinner is expensive if you can get it which is a further problem.

So probably simpler & cheaper to buy new. Only place I found Mr Disolved Putty was ebay about £6:50 with postage.

Why not try the lacquer & find if it affects paints or the plastic ?

You can get Mr Dissolved Putty here Laurie for £5.50: Filler on ModelDesignConstruction - Model Design Construction (MDC)'s range of Fillers from Mr Hobby Available for customers in UK, Ireland and Scandinavia ONLY

There is thinner there too but three types!!! problem is the thinner looks as if it is just for the Mr Colour range of paints rather than the putty.

Brickie, yes indeed there is and it is very useful. I apply it with a cocktail stick in very small quantities, dries quick and it gets drawn into the gaps by capillary action
