That looks pretty good 50! I would mention just a couple of things though-Kursk was fought in high summer so the grass & foliage would have been less green that that, more yellow & faded. Also the strip of grass where the Russians are is a bit too straight & even. Have a think of this-change it so it's the Germans being ambushed, put them at the highest point (away from the path) as if they're firing over a ridge with the Ivans creeping up on them from the path. That would look good! I'm not trying to pick holes in your work, mate coz it's a good one, just offering some ideas to make it even better. Patrick

your attually right about the grass it is a bit too straight but i cut it out and stuck it on so it would be a bit hard (well hard for me!) to make it more naturall then straight!

That's easily sorted next time mate, just cut one side with scissors till it's kinda ragged & with white glue, add some dirt mix over the edge-it'll look nice and natural then. Keep up the good work! Patrick ps one last thing-your MG barrels look very silver? try painting them black & then very lightly dry brushing with silver, you'll find it makes them look more realistic.

the reason there silver is because when i painted them i had no black and the local model shop was closed so i couldnt buy any black paint. i could of just bought black the next day but i really wanted to make this kit so i painted them silver. i might attualy go paint them black now!

That's really good for your first attempt - I like it. You might want to look at the moulding seams on a couple of the figures though.

Lots of folk reckon you should file them off with a variety of shaped files. I used to do that and you get some very good results with care but it is time-consuming. I just scrape mine with the edge of my modelling knife blade where there is material or cloth on the real figure, this leaves a slightly rough surface which doesn't matter as it is supposed to represent cloth; and leave the files for areas which have to be smoother or with fiddly shapes and contours to line up. I find this method much quicker and it is accurate enough for my simple needs.
