Dear Guys,

Once again you guys flatter me with your kindness. Ok so here's the deal. Basically gonna mess around with paint and weathering effects.I have started with a Testor's Flat Dark Aircraft Gray spraypaint (I don't own an airbrush set). I want to take the wingtips and make them Yellow. I also want to cant the nose and paint that yellow as well.

I want to weather the leading edge of the both wings and I want to color the back of the tail yellow or black. I also want to smudge up trailing edge of the engine cowling dark brown or a flat black.

I will begin painting the airplane tonight and should have a few pics for you guys that make my work look like crap ;)

Cheers everyone! I hope your having a great night (Or morning depending on your location)

Thanks for the good luck aaron! :) I will have some pictures in the morning. I cheated a tad and I had to use some spray paint for the nose of my plane. :) Brushes suck.

Regards,

Mike

Hey Mike,What a crazy way of building! I normally build the bloody things in like 4 sub sets, but you put the whole thing together.

Is the office primed or painted?

Great looking bird and a very nice tidy build.

Dear Aaron,

Thank you so much for your kind compliments! :) Yes, considering the fact I just have basic Mark-4 brushes and cement, I tend to make my models quickly. If I had an airbrush and some fancy stuff, I am sure my models would take 10x as long. As for painting,

I am not sure if I am going to CAMO the bird or not...decisions, decisions.

Once again, thank you for your kind words!

Michael

Mike looking good so far! Eagerly awaiting to see what finish you go with.Theres some great hairy stick work and quite a few others on the forum do it often with great results so do'nt feel the need to rush out and spend money on an a/b set up,cheers Trey

Thats a great start mate is it freehand?

you can make masks of camo up with masking tape or bluetac works too.

Freehand baby! :) I only have double sided tape at the moment, Aaron. I was thinking about buying some double sided. :)
