noob question about clear coat

Hello all. Just a quick one, and probably very obvious to most. I have bought some vallejo clear coat (matt varnish 520). Now, I heard that this can be used straight in an airbrush, but is that correct, or should I thin it as you would with usual paint through an airbrush?
