Hi all. I heve just started to recover the fabric controll surfaces on 2 full size T-6 Harvards for a client.

What makes one of them extra special is that is in the RAF collours of Azure, Mid stone/Dark earth where it operated in the Med during ww2.It has been a total ground up rebuild.

The other one is the dark navy blue as on the US Navy planes.

This client actually collects T-6's and had lots of them!

Will post pix as soon as I can.

Very cool Theuns. My dad did his basic training in the US on this type. Being a naval aviator it's referred to in his log book as an SNJ but it's the same animal.

I've got some piccies of him with various SNJs (at Kingsville Texas) and they are all in natural metal.

Cheers

He also owns the world's oldest AT-6 anywhere. I will try and get some info on it and let you lads know. IIRC it was # 17 on the production line.

I must say I really like the SAAF daglow, grey, silver T6's (of witch he has 4 I think) but the desret cammo is rather stunning!

PS. sorry, you sra correct re the SNJ and not AT-6 for the navy.
