I'm just beginning to put together a sea base that will represent the Pacific Ocean. I'm absolutely horrible at combining colors due to a form of color blindness I have. What I'm looking for are specific color combinations (the paint manufacturer would help because one mans blue is another mans turquoise) you use. If you you know of any video's showing this process or any formulas you use that would also be helpful. I know a lot of you talented folks just use a squirt of this a dab of that and you come out with great colors (or so I'm told by my wife as she acts as my color authenticator on almost everything. I think you guys get the picture. Any help will be gratefully appreciated. Thanks.

hi ray, your best bet is dark. deep water almost looks black so id go with a very very dark green but blend it to a suitable dark blue around the model itself. small amounts of clear silicone will give you the clear water effect of splashes, waves, wakes etc. when i do sea scapes i use water based artist paint because its very cheap. if you are not sure, start off light and keep darkening until you are happy. try a really cheap acrylic artist set of paints from your local bargain store and leave your decent paint for the model itself
