For some unknown reason the paint job on this went a bit funny and it ended up in places looking like a rough casting. Having had an abortative attempt to strip it all off. (left it too long, months in fact and it would not come off) I though I would try the bronze effect that I have been experimenting with. Base coat was equal parts black and red then drybrushing with gold. It looks better in real life that the photo's suggest so I may well put it on a stand and pretend that its a real bronze one. All comments welcome, however I may not reply for a while as I have to go and spend a month in the depths of rural Normandy to look after my brothers chickens and the cat while he goes on holiday. The sacrifices we have to make for family......
