IMG_5895.jpg IMG_5897.jpg IMG_5894.jpg Here is my attempt at a what is well known as one of the worst models that you can attempt to build due to fit , horrible plastic and decal disintegration. This is the Airfix 1/72 scale Severn class lifeboat
The one I’ve modelled is the Penn Lee in Cornwall as we don’t have one in the Weston-super-Mare. All we have is an insure speedboat and a hovercraft for hauling people out of the mud when they try to walk across the sands between Weston and Uphill peninsula and then get stuck by the rising tide
This kit was horrendous from the start with badly fitting parts which required numerous fillings. I think to safely say the model is 85% plastic and 15% filler as if that wasn’t enough. The paint took several coats to actually cover the plastic cause the plastic seem to have a tendency for the paint not to stick or adhere despite using primer that is the final insult. The decals disintegrated the lines on the side of the boat. I can’t recall what they are called, but they’re made up of about seven pieces in each bit because of the decal splitting anyway enough of the waffle here of the pictures of the completed model

You got there. Looks fine. Your next build will certainly have fewer issues. Well done.
