This post replaces the accidentally deleted posts from the original GB 2025s thread.
This is a Revell Blackbird SR-71 in 1/72 scale and will be painted in all Black, to fit in with this GB.

This build was carried out around end of June and early July 2025.
The plane will be modelled on the ground with under carriage down and canopy open to see inside and view the two pilots.
Some initial progress pics...
Re-scribed some of the panel lines in the hull, primed and painted some of the inner panels...
Utilised my new Dspiae vice to hold the canopy whilst painting, etc....
Started on the figures, then placed them in the completed cockpit...
Main plane fuselage stuck together, using many clips, pegs, etc...

More progress pics of the build from June/July2025...
Rear cone made, engine cones made, gaps filled, then sanded, under carriage made and added and the doors too.
The whole plane primed. Decided to leave black primer as the main colour as these planes in real life had a sort of matt black finish anyway? Decals were then added. I decided to leave off the very thin, very long red lines as my chubby, shaky little fingers would never have got them on straight anyway, so.....
