A couple of years ago my wife and I drove down from Phoenix to visit this museum in Tucson. It's huge – over 80 acres and 300 aircraft – and although we were there for a full day barely scratched the surface. A large number of exhibits are outside in the baking desert heat (it was over 40˚C while we were there) so they're a bit worse for wear in many cases, but where else can you see a B-29, B-36, B-47, B-52 (3 of them!), B-58 etc. I have much higher resolution versions of these images, so if anyone needs more detailed reference just let me know.

A few of the big bombers to start with:

B-36, which dwarfs everything around it.

B-47

Two of the B-52s. The pylon above was used to carry the X-15. The rippled skin on the fuselage side was interesting.

Pima is a great place to visit, very interesting. Did you take a drive up Kolb road through the the boneyard?

Coincidentally the locomotive in my avatar was photographed just north of Tucson.

That does look like an extremely interesting place to visit Mike. Thanks for sharing these pics. The B-52 skin is quite normal for that type. If I recall, the ripples actually stretch out when the fuselage is pressurised.
