Can anyone help an Aussie with plans for the Parnall Elf? The plan was free with 1991 magazine. I have fallen in love with this biplane after viewing greyheads threads on his model. thanks.

Have you had any luck with the plans yet Bob?

As it was given away as a free plan there must be hundreds of them out there somewhere!

Howdy Guys,

Ok, knew what aircraft you were talkin about but not the magazine, so, i did abit of investigative research and found out that it was presented in aeromodeller magazine. i then searched google for "aeromodeller magazine parnall elf plans" and came up with this:

[PDF]

NAME OF PLAN SPAN DETAILS SOURCE AREA PRICE AMA # POND # RC FF CL ...

File Format: PDF/Adobe Acrobat - View as HTML

AEROMODELLER PLAN. 3. $ 4.00 14271. X. X. X. PARNALL ELF ... MAGAZINE PLAN. SERVICE. 11. $ 14.00 28517 63B2 ...... FLY RC MAGAZINE. 13. $ 17.00 35343 ...

www.modelaircraft.org/plans/pdfs/p-plans.pdf - Similar pages - Note this

if you will view as an html doc. you will find the parnall elf plans listed on pg.9 of the document. now finding contact info is gonna be abit harder.... but i did find out that the info on the above page is provided by this group: http://www.modelaircraft.org/ so you might have to contact them to find out about the plans

atleast you know where the plans can be found now.

Hope this helps, have a good day,

Greg

Howdy Again RPearce,

Ok, this has really been bugging me today lol. So, I went back in search of the "Elf" plans and came up with this information.

The plans you are looking for are from this issue:

AERO MODELLER #702 Jul 1994 (v.59) pg. 12

Ok, with that in mind, i went in search of the plans once more and came up with this link:

http://www.atrh11.dsl.pipex.com/History.html

Now the owner of this site proclaims "Yes, I am nuts" in his explanation of why he collects so many old magazines.

He goes on to say that he has full "runs" of the following magazines from number 1 in my own collection, so if you require a reference, please ask!

UK Titles

Aeromodeller

Model Aircraft

Radio Control Models and Electronics (RCM&E)

Radio Modeller

Skyways

Model Aeroplane Constructor

Radio Control Model World (RCMW)

Aviation Modeller International (AMI)

RC Model Flyer

US Titles

Model Airplane News (MAN)

Radio Control Modeler (RCM)

So, if you havent contacted this man, it appears that he might have the magazine you want. Now he does mention "stock for sale" but he also states "In addition to the "sales" stock, I also have FULL runs of the following magazines from number 1 in my own collection, so if you require a reference, please ask! "

So, why not check out his site and use his email link to give him a hollar, maybe you will have these plans sooner than you thought.

Just remember, you are looking for the

"AERO MODELLER #702 Jul 1994 (v.59) pg. 12" (according to the research I have done).

Have a good day and I hope this helps,

Greg

Hi Greg, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I have been through so many sites and emails and I have finally received the plan that I was after. I think the site that you gave me was the one except the owner, David LLoyd-Jones had just sold the business. The new contact is Wayne & Ruth Howman and is contacted as follows: Domain name registration & web hosting from 123-reg

QUERIES@MAGAZINESANDBOOKS.CO.UK
