Yep!

This will be my entry for the desert SIG!

I'm not at home now, so I can't post any photo yet

But I can explain my idea ;)

I will use a little base (200/200mm), there will be a bunker hide on a sand dune and over it a nice figure that I have (British soldier) accompanied with a very weathered Jeep SAS!!!

The challenges...., recreate a very fine and coloured sand, and build a nicely old Tamiya Jeep SAS.

Hope you like the idea ;)

Thanks

Well...It will try to be a "comic" scene...let's see how it turns :P

And I'm wishing to work on the Tamiya Jeep!! It has been so many time on my stash!!!

Yep the Tamiya SAS jeep seems to be a staple of most stashes, I've never built it myself. I did enjoy the lrdg Chevrolet though which came with the master box lrdg figures. Are you going to scratch the bunker? Wait what...comic scene?

Hi Moni.

I don't know the scale, because is not a commercial kit in a box. All the paint shops (artistic and professional) has always a stash with different figures like this. They are made of plaster, resin or similar.

As you show like a statue...you don't need a concrete scale...it could be bigger or small :D

ta Polux i wish i could find like over hear,as there not the most popular things any more, :(

as i have been trying to find to small cats to go with my figuer, but no luck so far after weeks of trying need them around

30mm to 40mm would work,

and no shops have the little bags of zoo animals with i was hoping to find some think i could use, :(

look at that 2 sad faces lol, :D

cool looking superb Polux i do real like your progress on this one,the color is looking great

as you know with sand stone depends on what time of day to the over tones you get with the stone and shadow,

and so nice of shearing the painting stages as well, ;)

will be waiting for an update to this one,o_O

Yep! I worked a bit on this one. :)

I added some washes and an oil drybrush effect.

Anyway, there is something on the general colour that doesn’t convince me at all....

I took some photos as a reference, but all has different colour tones..... I know that still remain to add the pigments ....but....

What is your honest opinion....? Looks like a stone statue...?

im liking the look of it,the washers have high lighted the detail, and the over all color

is good i would just add a few high lights ,on the most exploded places,

and as said that the color will always change with the light, :D
