Sorry folks but i have been so so busy with my new store that everything else has been put on the back burner (you would realise if you shopped in bromley lol) just a quick couple of things so i dont appear an "Indian Giver"

Barry "your software wil be out to you on monday! Richard yours too"

the pe tutorial is 3/4 writen and il put it up asap Im sorry that its been delayed but lateley when im finally home i just want to chill and have been neglecting other things!! so a humble apology to all and hopefully il be back on track very soon

Nigel,no worries we understand, you have done well in your contributions under the circumstances and there is absolutely no pressure whatsoever, just dont overdo things my friend.

Nigel, writing to here should always be an enjoyable experience so you must never make it into work or a chore.

When you have time, write, when you don't leave it for a while. Don't create pressure and don't ever feel guilty when you don't get time. At the end of the day the job feeds the family so that has to be your priority.

I look forward to whatever you have to share with us be it job, family or modelling related.

I hope the new store is heading in the right direction and you can see a direction forward withy it. I have no doubt whatsoever that it will benefit from having you around.

Adz, what does "Foot Pump" mean? Apart from a device for blowing up tyres, before anyone answers to that effect!!

Thread owner
sheesh!

work first, play later.

Otherwise we dont got the cash to be here in tha first place.

PE tutorial can wait,,,,I wont be ready for that kind of high end modelling anytime soon and i'm fairly sure theres a few of us minions in the same boat!. And as far as it goes, you (and the other Yodas) have given us enough advice and help to last a lifeime already.

So take a chill pill Nige. Work first, play later! Its the only way.

I may be in the same boat as you as I've also just been promoted at work which means I won't get to spend all day surfing the net like I have done for the past 5 years :) but we have to sacrifice some things to give our family's a better life, things will settle down and get back to normal

@Az please expand on the foot pump :)

In which case John all the heartiest congratulations to you as well. I am sure it is well deserved and as a result of the same hard work and dedication you put into the forum.

Good luck with that, mate !

Sorry to high jack your thread Nigel :)

My promotion is more of a move sideways, I've been in charge of the IT for over 5 years but when ever the buyer is off I've always done his job, our buyer has just handed his notice in, so the job was offered to me, it's going to be a big learning curve, but I will buying for 4 branches and we stock over 15,000 products so at least it should be varied and busy :)

John - does thast mean your position for head of IT is up for grabs? Telesales is not really my thing and I want to get back into IT management.

James

Yes it is, you will also need to know about Quark and Photoshop, but isn't is a long way to commute :)

talking of promotions well ok my news is not really a promotion but i got a pay raise which im happy about cnsidering i shouldnt have it until im 18 hehehe stupid management dont know how old i am.

Thread owner
congratualtions char. always best when they dont know how old you are!

where abouts do you work?

when your 18 we will all have to take you out for drinks!

(although seeing as most of us live miles and miles apart it might have to be 'virtual' drinks)....saves the hang-over!!!

Thread owner
Firstly, Congratulations to John and Nigel on their promotions and I hope all goes well for both of you.

Secondly, don't worry about not being on here nearly every minute of the day everyday...otherwise we wouldn't get any models built to show on here !!! (as well as doing all the other mundane day to day life things !!!)

Regards.......Mark

Yes it is' date=' you will also need to know about Quark and Photoshop, but isn't is a long way to commute :) [/quote']Quark - he is a Ferengi in ST: DS9, either that or mac software for making movies. Commutting ... I could move away from the wife although I do work for a holiday company so I could look at cheap flights.

Hours have to be better, I was in until 9:30 last night and back in at 8:30 this morning and someone changed the clocks overnight. (Yawn)
