Here's my next victim on the bench one that i wanted to do for some time.


The body work has already been finished using acrylic car body spray,two coat's of primer two coats of main color left to cure of two days followed by two top coat's of clear lacquer finishView attachment 250951

Good start Peter, this is going to be another classic. I admire the way you car guys get such an amazing finish on these models.

Shame but that seam line on the tyre in the first shot would take some removing.

I was thinking the same! That's terrible from Revell :mad:
 
Yes that is bad, such a shame when that sort of thing happens, the colour looks gorgeous and the finish is lovely too, could it not be persuaded to fit by immersing in hot water (I would laquer the decals first ifvyou try it as the hot water will pull them off)
 
Its a shame revell kits can be so hit and miss. Some go together really well others are disappointing
 
Such a shame, I find a little bit of fettling all part of the fun but having to perform major plastic surgery just to get parts to fit is annoying and time consuming.


I wonder if it is just your particular kit or a mould problem?
 
As stated, old worn out moulds, shame, but just glue the blighter, slap on a base and add paint brush bristles around it that will hide any blemishes and it will look abandoned-don't forget to RUST!

I have finished it it's in the completed section
