discussion Revell Enamel Paints - Mixing

Good morning everyone. It has been awhile since I've last attempted to paint the models I've built, let alone making any so I'm a little rusty on the entire process. The part which I'm curious about right now is the mixing of Revell's enamel paints with paint thinner as far as ratios go, and how to go about the actual mixing of the paints and thinners.

So, what ratio should I be using? The colors in question are as follows:

- Matt White Enamel (5)

- Matt Tar Black Enamel (6)

- Matt "Africa Brown" (17)

- Matt Dark Green (39)

- Matt NATO Olive (46)

- Matt Light Gray (76)

Additionally, how should I mix the paints? I know that it should be done in a paint tray, but what ratios should be used? How should I actually get the two substances into the paint dish to mix them? I've looked around, but nobody seems to have a "perfect" answer.

I've found there is no 'perfect' answer Franck, because everyone does it their own way according to personal taste & experience.

My advice would be to select an unpainted kit as a donor, divide it into sections & try out the various methods & ratios that are out there.

With enamels I've found that stirring, stirring & stirring some more is vital!

Cheers for the advice Patrick, I suppose I'll head on over to Aachen today and get myself a can of primer, then sacrifice my 109G-10 in the name of art
