Somewhere I've got something on this - just give me a day or two to dig it out! I have located a copy of the original plan that I will copy for you. My Resolution is in many bits at the moment having suffered some electrical problems - but it will get looked at again once some other projects are finished. Is your one still in kit form or built? They're a bit of a rarity these days I suspect.

Hi Julian, I know I am being cheeky here, but if it is still in kit form and you decide against building it, I'll be more than happy to offer you a very decent price for it :regards:

Andrew hi,

Picked up your reply to Julian on Google and, guess what! .. Yup, I've got a (partly constructed) HMS Resolution - MINUS Instructions (:lame:).

Could I prevail on you to copy your instructions to me? I'm very happy to reward you for your effort.

You can contact me at tony.gibson@eze.uk.com

Hello amd welcome,

If i am right I think one of the modelling mags did some form of review when this kit was about ( yrs ago now ) it might be still available on back issue , don't know if it was model boats or not ? might be worth a telephone call

Regards Sub.

Sorry for the delay in replying but I've only just managed to find the instructions! I'll get them scanned and e-mailed to you over the weekend with a bit of luck - particularly if the current weather deters me from going to the pond. My own Mk 1 Resolution as seen in the earlier photo is currently being re-wired and the Mk2 version remains unstarted I'm afraid but is nearing the top of the pile to start. Meanwhile I've been finishing off 'Sir William Wallace' - the old Queensferry Passage paddle car ferry that used to cross the Forth before the opening of the Forth road bridge.

Again thanks for the instructions you sent. Didn't know there was a Mk2 version of the boat (mine's a Mk1) .. are there many differences? Also, seeing you have completed your Mk1, can you answer a question for me: The micro-switch which sits at the end of the ballast tanks, how did you water-proof them? I'm stumped on this point.

The differences between the 2 are minimal - the mark 2 is slightly longer and beamier making it easier to work on. The micro-switches run in the wet and amazingly there is no need to waterproof them. Mine has run for many years and I am only now in the [rocess of replacing them after 1 failed.
