Saint George!!

Today is a very important and lovely day on Catalonia :)

If you walk around, all the streets are full of people selling roses and books! Is magic!!

So, today..., my “latest acquisitions” will be an amount of books, many and many books. Not brushes, paints or plastic kits... :D :D :D

This afternoon I will post some pics with them ;)

Here's our West Bromwich parade it happens every year and then onto the festival at the local park. we are very patriotic around here Alan a great day out but must admit I can't remember the last time I actually went but I always watch as the parade goes by our house.https://www.facebook.com/stgeorge.day/photos_stream?ref=page_internal

I think we should make it a Bank Holiday
Saint's days and many 'holy' days were holidays way back when. You can blame the Reformation and later Oliver Cromwell for our lack of holidays.

Martin Luther might have been a killjoy, but Cromwell and his 'Godly Party' banned all holidays, except Sundays. Everything else smelt of Rome :)

Anyway wasn't dear old St George a Syrian ?

Cheers
