As discussed elsewhere in this forum I've discovered the anime phenomena of Girls und Panzer! I'm guessing some maybe unaware of it's existence so I used my very limited video editing skills to bodge together two clips which highlight the spirit of the anime.

This video stream includes the French military marching song 'Chanson de l'oignon' starring Napoleon Boneparte and his grande armee with guest apperance from Marie, Asparagus, Moule and Bordeaux (wierd names I know but. . . ) from BC Freedom Academy as they withdraw from the battle! I wonder how many will identify the tanks? I had no idea??

We used to have a thing at my local quiz where a team selected at random could pick the subject for one round of the following quiz. Naturally I chose WWII fighter aircraft which everyone else was really excited about - NOT! - and got 10/10.

A couple of weeks later someone chose Ghibli studios as their topic! And I thought the reaction to my choice was bad! Even the team that chose it only got 5/10.

Never seen the fascination for Anime or Gundam kits myself, but each to their own. Not quite as bad as the fantasy figures being 3D printed though. Seems like the designers are just picking two random animals and joining them together. I found, amongst many many others, cat/whale, mosquito/bear and moth/girl. Sheesh!

I think I would have done well in both of those

Maybe not for everyone, anime is too broad a term, there is so many genra, the elsewhere mentioned 'Grave of the Fireflies' is a heart rending tale that would emotionally cripple even those from planet Vulcan! I'm not too bothered with gunpla/gundam stuff, I quite like 'shojo anime' which is targeted at teenage girls! slice of life, light romance sort of thing rather than battle between huge powerful inconceivable machines or monsters! and 'mecha' which I suppose Girls und Panzer is, 'Stratos4' the subject of Airfix TSR2 MS is interesting one along with other productions from the now defunct 'Studio Fantasia, they were clearly aviation enthusiasts with the level of detail in their cold war jets! Just waaaay too much fanservice with gratuitous showing of . . . girlie front assets and foundation garments. . . shall we say!?!?

Miko (probably should be getting on with something more practical)
