discussion Sold the last of my RC boats.

It is with a tinge of sadness that I have finally called time on sailing. My last two boats have been sold, I kept hold of them for the 'Maybe' chance but having sold others due to the cramping painful hands, arms and back causing three boats to bite the dust; I would rather they went to someone who will use them.


So, bye, bye to the little fishing boat, was three quarters throw a refurb.

Its always sad when you sell something that you sell with reluctance and also something that you have put your heart and soul in to.


They both look beautiful models and some lucky so and so's have done well for themselves.


What are you going to do with your time now?!

Positive thinking Si, don't mean to sound patronising though. More space, onwards and upwards. What's replacing the boats? Besides I'm sure you have lots of fond memories

Well, I will still be a member of my boat club as I like the chaps and watching them sail.


I will still be farting around with other plastic kits but, on the RC line...me and my lad will now be locked in a deadly battle between two 1/16 RC tanks.


Mine is a Tiger...his...a Sherman...LET BATTLE COMMENCE!

Oh man I'm sorry mate I missed this, that's really sad. I still have my sternwheeler, the bloke bought it for a tenner off ebay and dispite numerous emails has not picked it up, he actually told me in the last one to sell it again, but he's paid for it and I feel it's wrong to sell it to someone else, probably end up binning it, I recon he's realised it's a piece of sh-" , I mean I know it is but finding it hard to bin it, I suppose it's the 18 months work.


You sure your not going to regret getting rid of yours, that canal barge looks the dogs danglies hope you got several hundred quid for that one.

Nothing wrong with your sternwheeler, looks great. I got £89 for the narrowboat and that included all radio gear, ready to run. The fishing boat went for £76 including a 40mhz Graupner transmitter and receiver. No complaints as I have a 1/16 RC Tiger to take on my lads Sherman.

Glad you're happy with the sale personally I think the narrow boat was worth a lot more. But if you got what you wanted that's great, good on you mate.

Sad to see that illness has curbed your enthusiasm for the hobby, and the prices you sold for I would think are very cheap.


I'm sure that between you and your son, you will have great times.
