Hi all, can anyone advise me of the color the Soviet WW2 helmets were on the eastern front, have googled but the images show different colors from grey to beige to black and more, help needed.

Mark - They were different colours at different times, as were the uniforms depending on the material available. I'd go for Vallejo Russian Uniform, which is a muted Olive Drab.

Thanks for that, what is it with military everything seems to be olive drab. LOL

What it is, is that olive drab works as a decent all-round, basic camouflage for typical European conditions.

Then again, you'll find there are thousands of variants of olive drab out there - you can't win. I'd go with artistic license every time.
