***What is not always appreciated with modern jet aircraft, is the reliance on sophisticated electronic stabilisation devices and controls,it only takes a single piece of equipment to go wrong and anything can happen,my guess in the case of this crash is a control failure due to a vital piece of kit failing,probably a servo tab failure which could have frozen the control solid and held the aircraft nose high as seen in the video.Very few aircraft are fitted these days with manual controls,the pilots would just not be able to handle them,the best way to think about this is our own model servos,we all know what happens when one fails and locks halfway over,it is exactly the same except the consequences are far greater.

So although the exact cause of the catastrophic failure in this case is probably held on some document held in a filing cabinet,you can bet your bottom dollar that it was something on the lines above.

Another not unknown problem is 'FOD' ( free of debris ) at airfields can be anything from a loose spanner that gets lodged into a control mechanism,to a lump of tarmac drawn into the engine intake.
