discussion Star trek voyager display advice?

Hi guys, was thinking about working some more on the voyager spaceship I have for the other half so it can be displayed in the bedroom.


Has anyone seen any space backdrop how to's?  I'm thinking of a dark plastic backed shelf that has led lights that look like stars in the distance or something.  


My build is miles off so I have lots of time to think but suggestions would be most welcome!

You can get black plasticard, just drill some holes and add a light source behind, one of the best things is that you can also bend the plasticard so you could do a curve.
