Hi Steve.

I have to posably start rebuilding a mate's 75% Fieseler Storch replica that he crashed.

Where would be the best place to start looking for nice cammo schemes and markings?

Thanx for any info

There appears to be a lot of pics showing a splinter pattern of dark green and what appears to be black but could be black/green with an azure looking underside. However, I like this white with a squiggle pattern here This review of the Tamiya 1/48th shows some nice schemes to.

I think that squiggle pattern is a bit fanciful. One of the Tamiya schemes is the standard 70/71 over 65 schemes (two greens on top). Standard in Europe,I'll see if I can find a decent diagram.

You could get a tropical standard scheme (79 (sand brown) over 78 (another blue/grey)) oversprayed with a green (70 or 71) like this

This image is supposed to be the reverse, a standard 70/71 scheme oversprayed with 79

The man being saluted in the rear of the airplane is ,I reckon, Albert Kesselring.

Cheers

Steve

Here is the official European scheme. Anything sprayed over this (like Kesselring's aircraft) was done in theatre unofficialy.I can't find a tropical scheme but if it existed, and I don't see why it wouldn't I'm sure it would have been RLM79 over RLM78, again any green blotches or squiggles would be unofficial.

Cheers

Steve

Edit:

Found one more in 70/71 with a very dense mottle of 79 applied by a maintenance unit in Libya. Hardly any green visible

Exelent ,thanx guys.

He had a brown and black on there wich tends to disapear (job done) when you try and fly formo with him!

He likes the winter cammo, anything on that maybe?Just pure white?

Officially the winter camo was solid white over upper surfaces.
