discussion Storage box for your model bits

Couldn't find a better place to post this so thought I would stick it in here.

Wandered into a local branch of "The Works" shop yesterday - you have all probably seen them selling books, stationary and even model kits too.

Found they are now selling some nice storage boxes at £6.99 each or 2 for £10.

They have quite a few designs from the same manufacturer but the one that really caught my eye is the Officially endorsed "Airfix" box. A nice size box at 14 ins square and 9 ins high. It has pics on all sides - ME-109, MIG-21, F86 Sabre & a P51 Mustang. On the lid is the Mosquito and on the bottom is a small pic of the FW190.

The first store I went in only had one pre-assembled box left and that sold whilst I was there - I went to another store which fortunately had another 3 left flatpacked at the bottom of the stack displayed in the store. I have been told that the Airfix box is the most popular and is selling like Hot cakes. I checked online last night and even Amazon said they were sold out with no news on new stock.

I am pleased with my 2 boxes - can't think of a better way to store my modelling stuff rather than plain (Plane..??) boxes lol

Plainly very smart Mark. Also very practical.

Only gripe where is the Spit. & Lanc.? Bet they come from Germany !
