Hi from 16° sunny and rainy at the same time York, UK ...

Ok so in my quest to build a model galleon ship ( like HMS Victory ) that can be pushed around on a pram ( For street theatre ) I have got stuck at the what materials to pick phase. In a nutshell it has to be white ( it's a ghost galleon ) robust, light and weather proof to boot!

I'm going round in ever decreasing circles in my head :-( I guess the challenge is also compounded by zero model building skills but I'm not going to give up!

I can't see why you couldn't adapt these techniques to build the sort of thing you want. As for the colour, there must be water and weatherproof paints and varnishes that are used for canoes.

Interestingly I was looking at canoe builds the other day, thank you, there might be something in this technique that could get my pirate galleon out of my head and into reality!
