discussion Suppliers of Photo Etched Brass parts

I'm looking to purchase some quantities of Brass etched chequer plate / tread plate and various brass mesh diagonal and square mesh for some scratchbuilt models.

I've tried www.netmerchants.co.uk who sell some for £4.99 a sheet, sheet size is approx 90mm x 65mm so very small.

Has anyone else used similar products and where did you buy them?

The etched plate I used was Part Number PP10 each chequer being about 1.4mm across - looks really nice though and should be great painted and weathered, just a bit pricey.

Thought of plasticard instead of metal?

Or find an alternative suppler ....

I've got some of that platicard tread plate on order from squires model and craft tools. I'm not quite sure what scale it is though. The squires catalogue has it listed and sells it as various sizes / scales 1:100, 1:25 and 1:50 although the 1:100 looks a little on the large size as each raised bit appears to be approx 2mm in length from the actual size picture.
