tamiya 1/35 M3 Lee from "Sahara"

A fantastic job done of what is a very old Tamiya kit, they still hold their own I reckon, goes to show how far advanced far eastern technology was back then. I remember this kit from the seventies, days spent dreaming and staring at the glossy pages of the Tamiya catalogue. .............oh happy days! (Uh oh.........I can hear impressions of the Fonz coming up.........heeeeeeeeyyyyy! ) :)


Update...........Kit was released in 1974.........crikey I was only 8!:eek: :)

you and me both! I have built this kit at least 15 times. Iwas 12 when It came out and I lived in Hawaii on Hickam Air Force Base. right next to Pearl Harbor!

I wasn't so lucky, I lived in Winchester in damp England next to my education base (school). Closest harbour for me was Portsmouth! :)

Hey dave, Hawaii and Winchester are quite similar........
