I built this a long time ago and was never really happy with it so I went back to it this week and decided on a winter camo , I'm surprised it turned out as well as it did , thanks go to Polux and Scott on my problem with detail :)

I was going to do a vignette on this but decided on a stand alone

Really like the finish on this, the wear is excellent, great stuff.

You nailed it Alan!!

Very cool , magnificent winter camo mate!

He is calling for a little snowed base now :) :) :)

Great winter camo efect Alan not seen one like that before how did you get that efect.

great work Alan, what ii,m most impressed with is the wear and trier of the cab, stop on,

were it all should be,nice, :D

real like the winter camo,as well very nice pin washers to pickup the detail, good work my friend :)

Nice work Alan. The winter camouflage looks very worn, which is appropriate I think. The interior looks well weathered too.

hi Barry, as I mentioned in my op this was painted a few years back and I used a stippling method to put the camo on , this left the paint very rough , it's called an orange peel effect in the painting trade, I voted the model in a weaker white matt about 60 % thinner and 40% paint this made the camo underneath show through the paint , then I gave it a very thin wash of very dark brown to take the brightness of the white out , then I pin washed all the raised areas like rivets , hinges, they I just dry brushed white matt over the entire model and the stippling effect came through giving a weathered look and bringing out the detail

I hope this helps :)

I know what you meen Barry , being a painter by trade I used to hate seeing doors painted with a roller , it's ok to paint with a roller but all you have to do is lay it off with a brush

Glad I can help you out :)

Very nice Alan. The wear on the gun in the cockpit is as good as it gets. The winter flurry on the casing is superb.

I'm going to try that stipple effect on a T34 I've got to give it a cast steel look but before I ruin that I'll practice on an old kit first :)
