Sorry for keeping the build private, really enjoyed this build and a massive thanks to my wife for taking some great pics of the finished tank.EB66A66D-0ADA-4130-9FC4-091F3B98A1FF.jpeg0D859EB1-6B65-403C-A81D-5491E76152C9.jpegE5C3D06B-9150-4115-A503-F4E5904061AE.jpeg9000F9D9-FFA0-409E-AE17-F40C9630DE6D.jpeg

Nice clean build Matt... got to love the Sherman! Have you got any plans for it?

Lee

Matt,
Really is nice to see just a clean build once in a while. Do not worry about keeping the build private, we have 'private' builds that never see the light of day - ever.
Mike.

My favorite version of the Sherman, it had finally evolved into a formidable fighting machine. Beautiful work and as previously stated a very clean build.
Rick H.
P.S. your missus takes great photos!

Is that the fairly recent kit? I’ve got one of those I intend to build soon … interesting to see yours looking as if it just rolled out of the factory :)

Hi Jakko, it’s this kit, no idea if it’s new or not, the way it went together I would say it’s new as there were no fit issues whatsoever.
I am definitely going to have a go at muddying and weathering the next one, never tried it and I was worried about making a complete mess of things.

Yep, that’s the one I’ve got too. Though I hadn’t expected any fit issues (it’s Tamiya after all), it’s good to have confirmation of that :)

As for making a mess of weathering … that’s kind of the point, isn’t it? :) In other words: you can’t really go wrong there. Also, the underside of the hull is a good place to practice if you’re not sure whether what you want to do will look right.
