If it was me I would use fishing wire, I was thinking this the other day, would look great I think, in my honest opinion. :)

Oh and great job dude, I am doing this same Spitfire apart from im doing the MkIIa :) But an Airfix Kit, very nice kit so far from Airfix

Great build mate, very impressive. For aerial rigging I use sea fishing bait elastic, nice thin guage and cos its elastic stays tight.
